{Olive Garden Salad and Dressing}

This is a delicious salad recipe. You can serve it as a side or as a main dish with some yummy bread sticks or focaccia bread. This Bread is great with it too.

For the salad:
1 can olives, whole
2 roma tomatoes
2-4 banana peppers
1/2 cup asiago cheese
1 head lettuce
1 red onion
1 box croutons

For the dressing:

1/2 cup mayonnaise
1/3 cup white vinegar
1 Tbs vegetable oil
2 Tbs corn syrup
2 Tbs parmesan cheese
2 Tbs romano cheese
1/4 tsp garlic salt
1/2 tsp italian seasoning
1/2 tsp parsley flakes
1 Tbs fresh lemon juice

Place all in a blender and mix

  1. Italian Seasoning? By this do you mean Italian dressing? I know that might sound like a stupid question but I am trying to learn & get better with my cooking skills.

    1. Italian seasoning is a blended spice that you can actually buy. Just look in the spices section of any store.

  2. There is Italian seasoning that you can find in the seasoning dept of your grocery store. It's an Italian mixture of different seasonings.

  3. Thanks, I will look for that.

  4. We tried this and its not even close to Olive Garden. Its sweet, not italian vingary like OG.

  5. Really? Did you only add 2 Tbs of corn syrup? I always find it to be a little too sour and end up adding a little more sweet. Sorry it didn't work for you :(

  6. I have found the closest recipe to olive garden dressing is a good brand of house italian dressing ( store bought)..add a lot of parmesan cheese to taste..blend in processor. It will look milky...taste is spot on!

  7. I tried this dressing tonight and it is real tasty and tangy. The Romano cheese gives a good smokey flavor. It may not be exactly Olive Garden's recipe but it sure is a great substitute! Thanks! I will be making this again.
